The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.
Milledgeville Police Department
— Disorderly conduct
A convenience store employee reported that Friday, Oct. 16, around 10 p.m., someone walked into the store on Vinson Highway to pay for gas and was approached by five to seven black males who had been outside of the store. The group began making gang-related threats to the man when he allegedly turned and struck one of the men, according to the report. A fight ensued and was broken up by the victim’s mother, according to the report.
— Burglary
Someone reported a burglary at a residence on East Thomas Street sometime around midnight Saturday. According to the report, two laptop computers were stolen.
— Shoplifting
Someone reported the theft of a package of ribeye steaks from a grocery store on North Columbia Street Saturday around 4:15 a.m. Thirty-three year-old Cornelius Moss of Queens Court was charged with shoplifting and was trespassed from the store, according to the report.
— Burglary
Someone reported a burglary at a home on North Tatnall Street Monday around 3 p.m. The homeowner reported that her home had been ransacked and reported the theft of a set of house keys, an Xbox, a laptop computer, a pair of tennis shoes, a BB gun, a digital camera and two book bags.
— Fraud
A woman reported that between Oct. 9 and 16, someone used her MidSouth Federal Credit Union card online to make an unauthorized purchase totaling $75.55 according to a police report.
— Larceny
Someone reported the theft of four newspapers and two magazines from her mailbox at a home on Irish Lane sometime Monday, according to a police report.
