The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department

— Fraud

A woman reported Oct. 8 that an unknown person used her MidSouth Visa card to make an unauthorized purchase to a company called Certified ACA in Maine. The amount of the purchase was $24.95 and the complainant requested a report so she could provide it to the bank.

— Fraud

A woman reported that an unknown person used to MidSouth Visa card to make unauthorized purchases sometime between Sept. 29 and Oct. 6. The complainant said there were 10 different charges made to her account, totaling to $266.59. The complainant further said that all the charges were made to various companies in North Carolina.

— Found property

A woman reported Oct. 8 that she was in yard at her home in the 900 block of North Clarke Street and she discovered a 257 Magnum revolver wrapped in a towel near tall grass, under a dead tree. The woman also said that she found six hollow point bullets in a sock. The gun was run through GCIC before being placed into evidence for safekeeping.

— Entering auto

A woman reported Oct. 8 that while she was pumping gas and washing the windshield of her Chevy truck at 1831 N. Columbia St., an unknown person stole her pocketbook from the center console of her vehicle. The woman further advised that she has already called the BB&T bank and credit card company to cancel the cards and checks. The woman further advised that the brown shiny pocketbook contained her driver’s license, Social Security card, a BB&T checkbook, a Macy’s card and more than $500 in cash.

— Fraud

A man reported Oct. 8 that an unknown person used his MidSouth debit card to make eight unauthorized purchases in Indiana. The complainant further advised that the purchased totaled to $335.98, and he requested a report to provide it to bank personnel.
