The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.
Milledgeville Police Department
— Criminal trespass
A man reported that a 52-year-old male was on private property, in the 200 block of South Liberty Street, digging through trash cans on June 27. The man was trespassed from the property and he was served a notice of prohibited entry.
— Simple assault
A man reported that he became involved in a verbal argument with a subject he knows only by the name “Levi” and the man threatened him with a knife. There were no witnesses to the incident and the complainant was noted as being “highly intoxicated” at the time of the incident. Officers checked the area for the unknown subject, but were unable to locate him. The complainant was advised to seek a magistrate to get a warrant if he chose to do so.
— Counterfeiting
An officer made contact with a clerk at Murphy’s USA June 27 in reference to a victim paying for her gas with two counterfeit $20 bills. The victim told the officer that she had purchased some items in Macon earlier in the day and she received the counterfeit bills with her change. The woman said she had no clue that the bills were counterfeit, and she then paid for her gas with two legitimate $20 bills. The counterfeit bills were placed into evidence.
— Gas drive-off
A female clerk at Murphy’s USA, in the 2500 block of North Columbia Street, also reported that an unknown person pumped $40 worth of gas and left without paying sometime during her shift on June 27.
— Harassing communications
A man reported that his daughter’s ex-boyfriend has been calling and texting his daughter frequently since their break-up approximately six months ago. The complainant said that on June 27 the ex-boyfriend sent threatening text messages to his daughter, stating that he was watching her house and sitting in her truck in the front yard of their home in the 800 block of Twin Pine Road. The complainant also advised that his daughter’s current boyfriend has been receiving harassing calls and text messages from the ex-boyfriend for approximately six months. The officer advised the parties not to answer calls or text messages from the ex-boyfriend and to break all contact with him. The complainant advised that he would seek a stay-away order against his daughter’s ex-boyfriend.
— Harassing communications
A woman reported that she has been receiving text messages from another woman advising her to leave her boyfriend alone. The complainant advised that she was involved in a relationship with the other woman’s current boyfriend previously, but she has not called him since the relationship ended. The complainant said that she and the other woman were both at the ORMC’s Emergency Room June 28, but no words were exchanged at the time. The woman showed the officer a text message from the other woman. The complainant advised that she also received a call from the woman last week while she was in North Carolina. An officer was unable to contact the suspect, but the officer advised the complainant to contact the police department if the calls and text messages persisted.
