— Simple assault

An officer was dispatched to 510 North Clark Street May 27 in reference to a physical altercation with a knife. The complainant and the victim were found at the intersection of North Clark Street and West Hall Street and while the officer was talking to them, he could tell they were heavily intoxicated. The victim stated that he was on his front porch when the offender came up and started a verbal altercation with him. The victim further said that the offender and the complainant started arguing about a sexual relationship that the victim and the offender were in, and the offender took out a knife and attempted to cut the complainant, but instead grazed the victim. The victim had a small abrasion on his right arm, but he said he did not know the offender’s last name. The case remains active and charges are pending until identification can be made on the offender.

— Disorderly conduct

An officer arrived at the Huddle House, in the 200 block of Roberson Mill Road, at about 2:45 a.m. June 27 in reference to a possible fight in progress. Upon arrival at the scene, the complainant said that someone had broken the glass door that separated the Huddle House and the Jet Food Store and went on to say that the parties involved were sitting in a 2001 Ford Expedition parked by the gas pumps of the Jet Food Store. When the officer made contact with the driver and five other passengers, all of the passengers said that no fight had occurred and that they were not responsible for any damage that occurred inside of the Huddle House. Employees of the Huddle House told the officer that the group of subjects in the vehicle were responsible for the disturbance inside of the Huddle House, but they could not be sure as to whom caused the damage to the glass door. The complainant then allowed the officer to review the video footage of the incident, but the video footage did not show who was the cause of the damage. However, the video footage did show that the driver of the vehicle in question, a young female, and a passenger, a young male, as the last subjects near the glass door before it was broken by an unknown object. The 27-year-old female and 24 year-old male were subsequently arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and the video footage of the incident was placed into evidence.

— Larceny

A woman reported that two black males that she knows only as “Puppy” and “D-Tru” took her wallet from her while they were all in her hotel room June 27. The wallet is described as a black bi-fold wallet containing the woman’s driver’s license, bank cards, $125 cash and other various items. The woman said that the two suspects left the hotel in a gray or silver Ford car, but could not give any other information on the suspects.

— Simple assault

A man reported that two white males jumped him behind Century Bank and Trust in the parking lot June 27 at approximately 4 a.m. The man said the offenders busted his face with their fists above his left eye and below his right eye. The complainant was taken to the Oconee Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room.

— Burglary

A man reported that sometime between 5 p.m. June 26 and 8 a.m. June 27, an unknown person stole a window AC unit from his residence in the 200 block of Pine Avenue. A witness who was remodeling the house noticed the unit missing when he returned to work on Saturday, but no signs of forced entry were found at the home. The AC unit is valued at $500.
