MILLEDGEVILLE —

Lacount earned a master’s degree in communication disorders in Connecticut before moving to Gainesville, Ga. in 2005 to work with students who were severely developmentally delayed within public school systems throughout the state. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

“In the summer of 2007, I looked at the medical side so I worked in a nursing home to provide speech therapy to patients who suffered from a stroke. This year makes nine years in the field treating communication disorders in children and adults,” she said. “I love what I do. I’m excited about coming to the Milledgeville area, and I hope I can develop a long business relationship with the city.”
