The Lemon Tree available for unique, quick gifts

MILLEDGEVILLE — The Lemon Tree, owned by 24-year-old Shannon Stuart, provides customers with unique home accessory, Greek, teacher and jewelry gifts.

Born in Macon, Stuart used some family kick start money to open her own business. Milledgeville seemed like the optimal location to cover all markets.

Stuart recently settled into the 134 S. Wayne St. location, which went through a complete renovation within the last two months.

The store features Knot + Bow Designs jewelry by Karli Campbell, which are all handmade pieces. Unique Greek products like cups, bags and koozies are available.

Picture frames and some bath and body products complement a product list you don't see everywhere. The Lemon Tree is perfect for teacher gifts.

Tying in to the sorority crowd is vital to the new business. Stuart has reached out to all the Georgia College sororities.

The Lemon Tree will run a monthly Greek promotion. The fraternity or sorority that spends the most within a month receives the first week of the next month at 20 percent off.

Teachers get 10 percent off on appreciation days, and those with the proper ID earn a 15 percent discount on their birthday.

The store's hours are 10 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Lemon Tree opens 10 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Call (478) 804-0054 for more information.
