Depending on the house, the savings will pay for the more expensive spray foam insulation within two to five years.
Utility companies like Georgia Power put forward instant rebates and incentives for these additions. Hewitt said a homeowner could get back as much as $2,200 based on how many areas they insulate.
Once a customer contacts Hewitt, he runs a diagnostic test at the residence, which includes the use of thermal cameras and a blower door test to locating air leaks and air conditioning inefficiencies.
Homeowners that get this energy analysis done are eligible for instant rebates. If the customer chooses to make improvements based on Hewitt’s suggestions, there are even more rebates available, not to mention power bill savings.
Hewitt Insulators will likely grow as more folks realize the perks. For now, the young owner likes his lane.
“I don’t want to get too big where I can’t reach all of it,” Hewitt said.
