MILLEDGEVILLE — Fields Photography and Framing has captured timeless moments of their clients’ lives and presented professional photos in custom frames since 2010.

Owners Michael and Danielle Fields expanded their business venture in 2011 to help individuals find their creative side through the Corks and Canvas classes.

“We developed the art classes as a way to help pay for our expenses. We don’t get a lot of college traffic during the summer months, especially when people are traveling,” Danielle said. “We were filling up classes every weekend for about a year.”

Individuals or groups of 15 or more can pre-register for a Corks and Canvas class to recreate a pre-determined painting. Danielle walks customers step by step through each paint stroke.

“People can bring something to drink, and it’s just a fun atmosphere to socialize, paint and relax,” she said. “We’ve done a lot of events and activities for groups, including church groups, bachelorette parties, baby showers and kids birthday parties.”

For $25, Corks and Canvas artists duplicate artwork on a 11 by 14 inch canvas using supplied painting materials. Customers can upgrade to a 16 by 20 inch canvas for $35.

“During the football season, we hold regular classes Saturday at 7 p.m., otherwise we also have classes Friday,” Danielle said.

Fields Photography and Framing offers professional photography and custom framing for weddings, maternity and babies, children, family and seniors. The Fields also acquired Harold’s Formal Wear in 2011 to provide tuxedo rentals and purchases.

Located at 122 S. Wayne St. in downtown Milledgeville, Fields Photography and Framing is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and until 2 p.m. Saturday.
