Southern Pipe & Supply comes to Milledgeville

MILLEDGEVILLE — Southern Pipe & Supply, a Southeast plumbing supply company, recently added Milledgeville to its list of locations.

The business has been open since May and was welcomed to the community by the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon cutting celebration earlier this month.

The local store, located on Industrial Park Drive, is part of  90 locations in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida and Tennessee.  Southern Pipe & Supply serves both trade professionals and homeowners with brand name plumbing, heating, air-conditioning (HVAC), industrial, mechanical, water and sewer supplies.

"We have just about whatever you need and if we don't have it we'll order it for you and get it to you as quickly as possible," said Joey Parish, branch manager.

Parish has worked with Southern Pipe & Supply for 14 years at the Conyers location.

He was chosen to be the branch manager when plans were being made to open up a new store in Milledgeville.

Parish said business has been good in the area thus far, but that's what he was expecting from the start.

"We tend to do well in areas where there are a lot of colleges and dorms, and Milledgeville fits that profile."

Parish and his three employees are enjoying working in the new location.

Because of the size of the store and number of employees, Parish said this allows them to develop long-term working relationships with the customers.

Although there are a few competitor businesses in the area, Parish said Southern Pipe & Supply's reputation speaks for itself and that the company’s vendor list includes top name manufacturers.

"We do business with manufacturers whose products we can recommend to customers with confidence," he said.

The business has an endless of supply of products, he added and they strive to do what they can to please the customer.

"Typically, if we tell someone no it's only after we've done everything we could possibly do to satisfy their request," Parish said.

Southern Pipe & Supply is located at 110 Industrial Park Drive. Store hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
