For the trio of Eloise Dixon, Barbara Johnson and Edna Hough, running a beauty shop for 25 years is daunting enough. Managing to accomplish that feat with all-original co-workers is nothing short of a business miracle.

Reflexions Hair Design is located at 701-A N. Wayne St. and stays busy as appointment after appointment comes through the doors, all expecting, and receiving, top style jobs.

“Believe it or not, we are still styling the hair of customers who first came to us 25 years ago,” business partner Barbara Johnson said.

The trio started out working at The Elixir hair salon, then moved over to run Beauty World. From there, Reflexions took hold. After moving from a location closer to downtown on the same street, the salon now is in the largest corner unit of a small strip mall on Wayne Street.

“Our business is made up of loyal customers,” business partner Eloise Dixon said.

Stylists include Dixon, Johnson and third partner Edna Hough as well as Cynthia Harris, Zenobia Little and Felecia Moss. Prep technicians are Vange Butts and Shawn Stephens.

Reflexions Hair Designs is open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The business can be reached by calling (478) 452-9647.

Throughout 25 years, the group of co-workers have seen Milledgeville grow and have handled the steady stream of business coming through the door, and they have done that by staying together.

“We have been together for 25 years,” Dixon said. “The family that prays together, stays together.”
