IT Systems, located on Garrett Way, has recently moved into a newer, larger location and owner John Moore hopes that the new space will help him continue to fulfill his mission of offering computer and networking services to the area.

Moore’s company, MooJohn Inc., which operates IT Systems moved into the office space located at 159 Garrett Way earlier this year. The location had formerly housed Petland. The new office has more than 5,000 square feet and a large parking lot. The larger space allows for better customer service as well as a large amount of merchandise in stock.

IT Systems provides PC repair and upgrades either at their location or on site. The company also sets up and maintains multiple-user networks, including wireless services. Coming soon, though, the larger space will come in handy as IT Systems will sell subscription service to the coming city-wide wireless service in Milledgeville.

“We will be a sales location for the Clearwire service,” Moore told The Union-Recorder.

When the project began taking shape, Moore says Clearwire contacted IT Systems about becoming a retailer for the service.

“As the largest computer store in the area, we’re able to handle the customer volume and to provide hardware support so that customers will be online before they leave the store,” Moore said.

In addition to computers, IT Systems will soon offer a much-needed packaging and shipping service in Milledgeville.

“Our packaging and shipping service will be called On The Way,” Moore said. “In the next three to four weeks, we’ll begin offering shipping services via FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service. In addition, we’ll offer mailbox rental and package acceptance. We’ll also sell the boxes, envelopes, bubble wrap, and other supplies for the do-it-yourselfer.”

Moore said that ITS builds all its computers in-house, and he believes that the business surpasses off-the-shelf brands. Building piece-by-piece allows Moore and his staff to choose each component. Plus, Moore said, if the need for service arises, customers can talk to someone face-to-face rather than calling an 800 number.

IT Systems has a large selection of parts and upgrades, and Moore said the company is planning on adding even more in the coming weeks.

Apart from tangible goods and products, Moore hopes his company’s dedication to customer service is also seen as a valued commodity.

“Service is also a key component of our business,” Moore said. “Our large work bench can accommodate more than 20 computers for simultaneous repair. Having the parts on hand means quicker repairs, too. We offer on-site service for businesses and carry-in service for everyone.”

IT Systems is a one-stop computer store for individuals as well as small businesses, professional offices and schools.

“I’ve been doing professional IT work for over 12 years and as a hobby since the days of the Apple II,” Moore said. “David Peavy, our lead tech, has also been a fixture in the local PC-repair arena for over a decade.”
