A fundraising benefit raffle will take place on Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. at the Grayhound Grill on West Clinton Street in Gray to benefit former Milledgeville resident Julie Griffin.

Griffin, who lives in Gray with husband Marty and five children — Megan, 19, Bryce, 10, Colby, 6, Jaydon, 2 and Riley, 1 — suffered a brain aneurysm last week and remains in critical condition at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Julie had just started a new job with Bibb County working in the courthouse where she dealt with cases involving juveniles.

“They don’t know what caused it,” husband Marty said. “Right now she’s still in critical condition. The doctors don’t know what can happen.”
