Blandy Hills Elementary School YES (Youth Enrichment Services) Program students were visited by representatives from the Atlanta Falcons Gatorade Junior Training Camp Thursday as a way to promote healthy, active living.

The Atlanta Falcons Gatorade Junior Training Camp is geared toward third through fifth graders that stresses the importance of proper football technique, promotes physical activity and proper hydration, states the web site. The free program is under the NFL Play 60 program.

After Atlanta Falcons Community Relations and Youth Programs Manager Chris Millman riled up students with a pep talk and chants, they were split into groups and went through five football stations. Parent volunteers and teachers helped with the execution of the program.

The University of South Dakota Coyotes football team donated shirts, jerseys, bags and towels to the 140 YES students to serve as a good behavior incentive.
