Richard Bentley, Owner of Wilkinson Insurance, has been named to the Leadership Georgia Class of 2008.

Richard is currently serving his first term as Mayor of Milledgeville as well as a member of the Convention and Visitors Bureau board.

Leadership Georgia is a prestigious 35-year-old organization of community leaders. An affiliate of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the organization trains and builds a network of emerging young leaders from across the state. Past participants include a number of influential state and national leaders ranging from former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn to University of Georgia Athletic Director Vince Dooley.

Approximately 60 participants, selected each year from a pool of several hundred applicants, visit five Georgia communities in an effort to learn more about important issues affecting the state.

Tim Moses of Augusta will travel to Brasstown Valley, Cordele, St. Simons Island, Dalton and Macon.
